Countable nouns and uncountable

Characteristics of countable nouns:


  1. You can tell.
  2. They have a singular form and a plural.
  3. You can use numbers in front of them to express their amount.
  4. You can use indefinite articles (a / an) in front of them.


What are uncountable nouns?

Words as sugar and money are countless in Spanish, since we can not say "two sugars", "three funds".

Characteristics:


  1. They do not have plural forms.
  2. You can not tell.
  3. Can not be used with the indefinite articles (a / an) in front of them.
  4. Always use the singular verb.
